2017 Scholarship
The Well is offering one $1,000 scholarship to a student who has been affected by mental illness (such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, mood disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, addiction, etc.). To apply, eligible students should submit an essay, up to 500 words, using one of the following prompts:

The goal of this scholarship is to help reduce the stigma around mental illness, raise awareness of mental health issues, and bring visibility to the outstanding students who are tackling these issues. Award: $1,000 cash award, recognition on The Well's website and social media, two tickets to Unmasked: A Masquerade Ball, and the opportunity to read your essay at our annual gala. Eligibility: Students in grades 11 or 12 or first and second-year college students are eligible. Students who have received care and support at The Well are preferred, but anyone who has been affected by mental illness is welcome to apply. Student must be willing to share his or her story, preferably in person, at The Well's annual Masquerade Ball, where we seek to unmask the stigma of mental illness. The Masquerade Ball is Friday, October 20, 2017, and scholarship applications are due August 1, 2017.
